| Altos de Chavon and Catalina Island The day starts with the discovery of Altos de Chavon, known as the artist village. In the Roman amphitheater several concerts have taken place: Frank Sinatra, Sting, Carlos Santana...The complex architecture, its fountains and streets, create a nice medieval mediterranean style. Then we will go down to the Chavon river for a cruise on a local boat. Onbord enjoy a fruit cocktail, sandwiches and drinks. Then on a catamaran, head for Catalina Island, the hidden treasure of the Carribean where a lobster lunch will await us. Relaxation and snorkeling to finish off the day... Buggy outing (1/2D) Located 15 minutes from the resort, in the heart of the Cap Cana project, come and drive one of our buggys, along the country roads leading to the Juanillo beach. This is an ideal stop for a swim on one of the most amazing beaches of the area. Then we will go on to Hoyo Azul, legendary undergound river and caves, where you will enjoy a dive in to the crystal clear waters. Dominican Colors Excursion recommended by our Discovery center. Brief but informative visit of some of the island's most important features. You'll stop off at a cigar factory, a school and a local butcher's, before venturing further inland to visit the sugar cane plantations, a rum factory, cocoa plantations and a chocolate factory. In Bayahibe, we will cruise along to a natural pool for a dive in turquoise waters. On the Island of Saona, make the most of the great atmosphere with your lobster barbecue lunch. Relax on the beach or enjoy a cocktail in the water. Meet with the dolphins(1/2D) Meeting the sea lions is an emotional experience, and a great opportunity for children! After an introduction to these creatures' life and habitats, a specially equipped boat will take you out to a spot where they gather. A privileged moment during which you can feed these friendly, smiling creatures, observe them close up and swim with them. Min participant : 20 Max participant : 50 Paddle board ecotour (1/2D) New activity, the board is just like a surf board. The tour starts off with an explanation on how to use the board and paddle. You will then paddle along with the currant in the turquoise waters of Tortuga Bay. Then, stop off on the beach for a relaxing moment for a drink. Then go off and explore the forest discovered by the Pre-Colombians, containing over 500 species of plants. A boat will then take you back to the Club Med beach. Min participant : 7 Safari 4-by-4 Nothing more exiting than driving a 4-wheel drive off the beaten track. Discover amazing landscapes, coffee and cacao plants, then head for the amazing Macao beach to relax and swim, snorkel. On the way back, stop off at a Tainos cave. Local lunch included. Santo Domingo (1D) Excursion recommended by our Discovery Centre. The very first capital of the "New World," Santo Domingo is a city of contrasts that combines the infinite wonders of a glorious past with the magic charm of modern life in one of the greatest towns in the Caribbean. With our local guide, discover the treasures of the colonial district (Basilisk, Las Casas museum, Alcazar de Colon, the Rue des Dames). Lunch at the restaurant Napolitano located on the Malecon; free time; then a scenic tour of the modern city. Min participant : 6 Saona Catamaran (1D) Saona is a tropical island located a short distance from the mainland on the south-east tip of the Dominican Republic, near La Romana Province. It is a government protected nature reserve. The Island is famous for the natural beauty of its beaches, and has been used on many occasions by film-makers and advertisers looking for a stereotypical 'desert island' setting for their film or product. The seas around the Island are rich in wildlife, with many species of birds and tropical marine fish, and there are large areas where natural sandbars offshore bring the depth to just a few feet. With waist-deep shallows where you can snorkel, drink and check out the fields of starfish indigenous to the region. This is an opportunity to go deep in the jungle, interact with it's wild life, dense vegetation & discover the true colors of the Dominican Republic. All terrain military trucks will welcome you at the park entrance & drive you deep into the jungle where you will discover the Wild Ranch. Opportunity to hike the trails & fly high above the ground on several ZIP LINES.
